Description
Bosteels brewery is located in the town of Buggenhout, Belgium and has been in the same family for over 200 years. The recipe for Karmeliet Tripel dates back to a Carmelite abbey in 1679; the original recipe was discovered by an older generation of the Bosteel family and is still used in the same proportions to this day.
Made with three grains–wheat, oats, and barley–this golden-coloured Belgian abbey tripel ale is a perfect balance of bitterness and malty sweetness. This beer has bold aromas and flavours of bananas, a subtle wheat spiciness, vanilla, bubblegum, orange, and florals. With a typically dry finish and a smooth medium-light body, the Karmeliet Tripel has a pleasantly bright and lingering character.
